An apparently African skeleton, unearthed near a medieval English monastery, pushes Professor Sue Black's forensics team to its limits. Bone analysis offers clues about the true origins of the mysterious skeleton and facial reconstruction painstakingly reveals his face, not seen for centuries. The historical trail points to new evidence about British ancestry and the case takes an unexpected twist when they discover the tragic truth about how he died. ©BBC
Am I the only person who felt there was something off-putting about the young woman with the short black hair? It always seemed like something other than the topic at hand was buzzing through her brain. She just set alarm bells off for me. Can't quite put my finger on it.

It's way over the top to say that knowing that African individuals existed in Medieval England "changes our view of our own ethnic history". The influence of the DNA of Spanish Gypsies who washed ashore in Scotland and Ireland after the Armada came apart has more significance. Families periodically have members born with strong Semitic features. And that's just from a few hundred sailors who were impressed into the Spanish navy. So, the influence of African DNA in England must be pretty thin.

@norwoodjazz And so you know more than a team of experts in they're fields, that one man can make a more informed conclusion than a group of experts. Your a legend in your own mind aren't you.

If you put white skin on him and narrowed his lips he would look like many Italians in the Bronx, NYC. They no-way proved this guy was African. Bad science to clearly promote a political agenda. Con artists at their best, hiding behind pseudo-academic credentials and dismissing all the facts given by other experts that put the origen of this guy anywhere in the north or south Mediteranian. Here is an example of heavy on the pseudo; and, light on the academics. Call it Ponzi science; what a scam.
