Might get a copy of that issue of BR8 just to see it larger and in color. Wanted for a non comics fan I know somewhat to see it online,to apprecate what comics can be.That story may be 32 years old now, but still stands up good.

What a great little show of Adams covers!
BATMAN 217-266 with work by various combinations of Robbins, O'Neil, Novick, and Giordano represent for me the absolute peak of over 70 years of Batman material. They had their finger on the pulse of exactly what Batman was about. And the Adams covers were just a nice addition to that perfection.
I feel similarly about DETECTIVE 395-450, often by the same creators.
And DETECTIVE 471-476 by Englehart/Rogers/Austin

The 10-page story you mention finally saw print in BLUE RIBBON COMICS 8 (May 1984) that you can get probably dirt cheap at any convention.
It was also printed in a smaller digest size in ARCHIE'S SUPERHERO COMICS DIGEST MAGAZINE in 1979. Which also reprints Simon and Kirby's DOUBLE LIFE OF PRIVATE STRONG 1 and 2, plus other nice 50s/60s reprints of Morrow, Rosenberger, and McWilliams.
