I believe you would have more success and sound smoother if you played the song using the full chord positions while picking. Your hands would move up and down the neck at a slower pace, making the transitions smoother and more professional.

Yeah man, Its a very hard song, ive been tryign it too. comes with alot of practice REMEMBER Jimmy Page did this, anything he does is hard. so just practice each part seperatly. and ive leart to use a electric better then acoustic cause the pull off sound is more crisp. just saying get back at me, ill tell you more stuff along with the songs you cover.
