although no one can really argue that steve morse is a wicked player, his take on this solo never really worked for me

@minotaur1231 I just said that's not Ritchie in my previous post. Even though he may have not played it note for note he still did it better then anyone else especially Morse.
I've been listening to Deep Purple and professionally playing guitar since I was 10 years old. I'm 49 so there is really nothing you can enlighten me with as Blackmore or Deep Purple. Morse was great with the Dregs and as a solo artist but he's just wrong for Purple. Why can't people read and comprehend?

@MrBurst62 for 1. thats not ritchie and 2. ritchie never played that solo note for note ever !.... he improvised it every time . the studio version is actually to different solos edited together.

That's not Ritchie Blackmore on guitar and Morse butchers the solo every time.Only Ritchie does the solo correctly.
