In the morning general session, moderator Susan Dentzer and panelists Oliver Fein, John McDonough, and Julie Eckstein discuss how to improve population health in the United States moving forward, looking at both existing and alternative policies.

Susan Dentzer, Editor-in-Chief of Health Affairs, is an on-air analyst on health issues with the PBS NewsHour, and a frequent guest and commentator on National Public Radio shows.

Oliver Fein, MD, is a professor of clinical public health at Cornell University Medical College. His research and policy interests include health system reform, national health insurance and medical education.

John E. McDonough, DPH, MPA, is the director of the Center for Public Health Leadership at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Julie Eckstein heads up the Missouri office of the Center for Health Transformation and works with both the legislative and executive branches on state policy initiatives. She has led workgroups addressing the uninsured, health disparities and obesity/diabetes and started the MO Health Policy Forum.
