  • Looks like a good trip, I wonder if during the summer here in Florida those bush beds would work set high like that, I'm going to have to try it. Thanks for the videos, I really enjoyed them. I always use duct tap on both sides of a hole, seems to work better and last longer, almost a permenat fix. Of course that won't work if the item is wet. Brazil looks a lot like Florida, even though South Florida is a sub tropical environment N. Florida is a bit of a mix.

  • @muddog1561 I spent 2.5 years in Pensacola (non-military) and the forest there is very similar though not so tall. Very dense bush at ground level. I don't see why a tall bed frame wouldn't work in FL. IIRC the soil was very sandy, lots of pine etc. It would make for better sitting than moldy leaves.

  • Do you have a video on the contents of that kit. Also I found out that those light sticks actuall work well way past their expiration data.

  • @Texasoutback Yes I do have a video. IIRC the only things I changed in the kit since that video was to add the lightstick and to use chlorine tablets rather than iodine.

  • Whats this talk of you returning to the states?

  • @jbr1074 Just a 4 month trip Dec to April.

  • @stymiesam Thats private land and we do have the permission to be there and do what we did. Thank you for your concern.

  • Is it goverment land where you are setup? Is there alot of rules as to what you are allowed to do?

  • @Colhane would it be possible to provide the link to that vid. I was not able to find it.

  • @Colhane I've been to Appalachacola a couple of times. One day I want to get over there and hike the section of Florida trail. I'm over in N E FL. One day I hope to move somewhere where there's mountains. I'm so tired of Florida.

  • I guess, just like me, you are missing Wawa's coffee too. Have a safe return to the US and post lots of videos from there.

  • He could find 4 limbs with a Y log hammer them into the ground to heigth to support those latteral supports? Personally they make hammocks that weigh 2 pounds just never leave home without one. I was wondering they make those cuban fiber tarps I know they are considered expensive but can they be made into hammocks? You rather not wear anything sharp in them but I was just wonering if anyone has attempted to use cuban fiber as a hammock? Ron Paul 2012

  • @oregonmikes im going to try again this summer to get out there. hopefully oil doesnt skyrocket again. im saving for the february trip to medicjimr's hammock quest then after that i start saving for the oregon trip. hopefully it works out this time.
