If you listen to the lyrics of this song, it actually kinda makes sense

just as a angel cried for the slaughter Abrahams daughter raised her voice. I guess that means Effie Trinket called Prim and she did not move she was so still meaning she was scared. And Abrahams daughter raised her voice (katniss) saying I volunteer.

It does correlate almost entirely with Abraham, the angel, and Isaac from the Holy Bible. The daughter is fictional for the song, and the theme is rebelling against authority. In the story, God tests Abraham by telling him to sacrifice his son, Isaac. At the last second, an angel appears to stop him from killing his son. There is no daughter.

Look up the sacrifice of Isaac.

I am amused and a bit saddened at how mentioning old, biblical names and the word 'angel' makes everybody think it's something from the Bible... It just shows how few believers actually read their 'holy' texts.
