Every year there is an event where the local priest goes and blesses the animals. Religion itself is a weird thing for me and this takes it a step further. But you have got to love it though for the bit of local colour. They also do this in St. Feliu de Guixols. The horses ride a circuit around the town three times and get wine and cake in the town square. On the last trip through the square they get the holy water splashed in their direction.
