update on this beautiful old vessel. I am from here in The Quad Cities of illinois and remember back when she used to be our gambling boat here it was so cool to cross the bridge from Rock Island Illinois over the river to Davenport, Iowa and see her either sitting by the bridge or going up the river for her cruise. After I saw this video I thought I'd contact the newspaper in St. Elmo. Sad news. The President is now just piles of rusted metal and now just a memory.

I agree with you 100%. Mr Patterson seems to be having way too much fun! As one of the former Chief Engineers on this wonderful vessel, I watched this with a heavy heart......I know Mr. Izzy would have had a few choice words for Mr. Patterson!

the three fluted whistle was actually off the standin vessel in 1996... which was ironically called the vice president
