whats gos on during a "tornado warning"

ok, so lets get one thing stright here. There was no tornado in our area, there was a small little thunder shower and our asst. principle freaked out and put all of us in a small little hall way(as you can tell.)

Yea, I really think it kept the teens calm, which is what is needed for these situations. Plus, they probably see tornadoes and hear warnings all the time, so if the tornado did have a strong chance of actually hitting the building, I doubt their behavior would be the same. These kids knew the situation was safe. Why not have fun?

I wonder what would happen if the tornado actually hit? Bet there wouldn't be any laughing then. But then again, these kids probably get warnings all the time. For me, who does not see tornadoes, I would probably be a little freaked out. These students crack me up. lol

The principal did the right thing. Policy in many districts require students and faculty to take shelter immediately after the issuance of a tornado warning, whether there is a live tornado or not. If it weren't for that rule, many students across America would be dead.
