I upgraded both my lenovo's, W520 dual 120 Force GT's and the S10-3T and they boot up in 15 seconds!! A typical rotating hard drive read/writes 115mps.... SSD 555/515 mps .... Smokes them!!!

The system should be very much faster, and it is indeed noticeable. However, the S10 or any similarly-spec'd netbook does not have the processing power to handle 1080P. Hard drives give you capacity and speed, not power.

how much better if change to SSD? noticable faster? or don't really notice much? can watch 1980 HD videos without problem?

im keeping my 160gb on my lenovo... and when the 250 gig SSDs come down in price, im slapping one of those in ;)
