We have a cat named Rita, who acts exactly the same. After we moved we don't have an attic anymore. But every now and then the cat will walk around the floor looking up to the roof. If in also say "Loftet Rita?!" ("Attic Rita?") she'll go crazy...
She used to stay in the attic for hours...
