  • You're right about the guitar part. When I worked with Ella Ruth Piggee in '83, and '84, the guitarist who played then was Gabe Terrado, he definitely played it incredibly well. I'll be hosting a Show at Humphrey's (Shelter Island, in San Diego) early August on a Sunday 4-7pm. I'll put it on the list, and make sure Gabe is there to play it, & get it recorded, Steve Laury will hopefully be there as well as many other very talented musicians; We're looking forward to a great time!

  • @bondowisperer @bondowisperer Hello, Dave Hatherill is also a friend of mine here in San Diego and he asked me to send you his appreciation and thanks for the kind comment. If you can please let him know who you are as he is very interested in knowing. Just trying to reconnect old friends. All best, ipsoman

  • Sounds good but I don't hear the guitar funk riff to this song that really stands out in the original Number One.

  • it sounds like they are playing a semi tone lower than the origional ,,,,

B minor jazz turn around ,,,,, probally to help the sax player ,,, they sound quite smoking ,,great walking funk bass line drums horns and keyboards ,,great joint

  • I played the drums in band in the sixties, Dave Hatherill was lead guitar player, he was the only true musician in the band. I'ts been many years since I've seen him... Glad to hear he's still making music. I miss my old friend..

  • Great jam guys...would you happen to have the chords for this? Thanks
