Enjoy.

The ROKMC is the 2nd largest marine corps in the world with over 27,000 soldiers. It is the most formidable branch of the ROK military, with an undefeated record and a 1:25 kill ratio during the Vietnam War. Amongst the South Korean military personnel, only the marines are priviledged to wear a red badge, which identifies them as part of the ROKMC.

  • LONG LIVE SOUTH KOREA FROM AN AMERICAN BROTHER

  • Back in the 80's, I was going through basic training at Fort Sill Oklahoma, attached to our platoon was a R.O.K. He didn't speak much English, but he was a hell of a soldier! At hand to hand he was almost impossible to beat. I respected him, and ALL R.O.K. I will never forget him. A/2ND/80TH FA.

  • @JebusLee I believe the number of US troops in S.Korea is actually 28,500 last time I heard anyway. Plus, if you add in the number of reserves the ROK has, then we're talking about almost 4 million men in total. That's more than enough to halt any North Korean assault. Not to mention the majority of North Korea's troops are malnourished and have almost no serious logistics support.

  • @Psykee10 This is the largest BS I ever heard. The number of US personnel in the ROK is only 28,500 and the number of bases is also declining, not to mention command has been fully handed over to the ROK government. THe North Koreans lack any knowledge in modern warfare doctrine, much of their equipment is outdated and lacking spare parts and maintenance, almost the entire army is starving and they're led by an inexperienced youngster with near zero political or military experience and training.
