@tucanoman who told you that? better do your research. the movie was never created with that purpose in mind - to be used as propaganda - Leni had total control over every aspect of the movie. it WAS used as propaganda regardless - but that's because it was so well done and so innovative. no one would ever want to use a shitty film for propaganda purposes. plus, jesse owens was one of the stars of the film. hitler would never want that.

@icamescope Well yeah! The movie, masterful as it is, was made for sinister ends: to show the mastery and heroism of the aryan race. Too bad but Jessie Owens blew that goal right out of the water! I like Vangelis but this music sets exactly the right tone for this incredible propaganda film that pioneered many film techniques unknown at the time..

These inspiting images with Vangelis's music seems to recover some more aliving sense... To or modern ears this music appears quite sinister....
