Gimp is pretty unstable on my computer (Mac). It can be buggy and layers are a mess. I mostly use it for minor adjustments. With a blue colored pencil, sketch your anime. Trace it with a black pen and scan it. The blue sketch won't turn up. Only the black will show. You can then adjust, color, and add effects using Gimp. Simple ^^

can someone please tell me how you make a layer for eyes and hair
i open my pic then i duplicate the layer and set it on multiply
and that way i can only color the whole thing at the same time..... how do you separate it so that you can color the hair or the eyes {ect.} seprately

I just got a vista laptop, and fore some reason its properly rendering the Japanese characters in all programs, i guess vista added better support for other languages lol (besides US-ENGLISH) i hope to learn japanese, but it is by far the hardest for me to learn to read and write.
