  • its better use as ssd to test the time access on usb 3

  • Everything is always better with SSD! :D

  • tbh i too was excited about usb 3.0 but since intel and apple are working on Light Peak and they even plan to get it out by late 2010 maybe 2011, Im not very interested in USB 3.0. Its funny because even Intel is slow to adopt usb 3.0, i mean they have light peak...but we shall see

  • I think that you should stay interested in USB3 you have so many USB2.0 devices, it would be a shame to have to scrap it for a new standard. Firewire didn't exactly go mainstream, its still niche in the multimedia industry. Who knows where Apple in its walled garden and proprietary mentality will take light peak. I'll keep my eye on something I know will be accessible and backwards compatible with all my USB devices.

  • Thanks. I've enjoyed your channel :)

Are you guys based in Taiwan; How do you guys get all the granted access to the labs and manufacturing facilities?

Keep up the good work Sasha!

  • We are based in Taipei, its a easy place to meet all the right people and make the right connections.

Having a great audience base doesn't hurt either. ;)

    Thanks for watching!!

  • @wa7edfathey

Thxs looking for a gaming Laptop with Usb 3.0, maybe by Jun Alienware will have one :)

  • @ilordvader using an external 3.0 usb HDD with a usb 2.0 laptop will use usb 2.0 speed (480mbs max = 60 mega bytes per second) so paying the extra $ for usb 3.0 is useless for you right now, i suggest you upgrade your motherboard (if possible) or wait till you have usb 3.0

  • Is it worth Buy USB 3.0 Ext HHD ?

Cos my Laptop doesnt have 3.0 :( will the speed make any diff ?

Or better to wait & get when we have USB 3.0

When will we have USB 3.0 in Laptops ?

so can use this speed :)

  • ofc but im wondering what the access time in usb 3 :)

  • Like it!

  • ok, yes i will, thanks for commenting back !
