While I was rooting for Greif to win in N2N, I was happy for Daldry. Seen the original Billy Elliot movie? It has one of the most talented direction ever. It never tries to be artsy, it just compels you with the character. There were so many simple shots in the movie that make an impact.

I'm so glad Stephen Daldry won... I would have been happy w/ happy w/ Diane Paulus taking home the award (she turned a show nobody thought they'd want 2 c again and brought it back 2 life after all, no small task). However, I think Daldry had the tougher job. He had 2 turn his already beloved film in2 a musical, & he did a terrific job! I love his films and hope 2 c him take home the Oscar soon 4 directing, god knows he deserves it by now...
