  • Got the riff and feel of the song right. Wish they had had a good PA system rather than singing through what sounds like a '59 Fender Bassman with a blown speaker. The lead solo could have used some more "bottom" rather than playing the Strat with the pick-up switch set in position 5 for just the bridge pick-up (at least that's what it sounds like in the video). The close-up of the dude in the red t-shirt was... unnecessary (for lack of a better term).

I give them an "A" for effort.

  • Thanks for the comment--this was 18 years ago, and we were a bunch of kids with no money, playing a bunch of songs at a party. Whatever we were running the vocals through was worse that a '59 Bassman, blown speaker or no--a PA would've been great!

And I could do without the close-up of "the dude in the red t-shirt" as well--sadly, that was me... I like to think I'm less retarded these days.

  • I think this is great. The singer even looks a bit Syd-like. One picture of him I'm thinking of anyway, with a small fro. And the red trousers...This is choice! Great great cover especially considering there's no keyboards! And I dig the Mosrite Spot on

  • @SydCaster It's a Mosrite

  • This is honestly the best cover I've ever heard of this song. The tones are just spot on.

  • You can't judge sound quality from a video. Even today, most live music video recordings of what sound amazing in person sound like total crap through the camera's wimpy built-in microphone.

  • Whoever that guy was, he was most definitely tripping balls

  • Hey! Tight sound guys! Good one! :)

  • you guys are bad-ass ;)

  • not bad dudes .....

  • @ronnieshow That's a relief Ron...;] And you'll probably know by now, that this song ain't about the devil either.Doesn't antimatter....compared to some of my stupidities,it wasn't that bad.

  • @SydBarrett997 Good spot, bass is cool and the guitar 1:27 has that choppy neurotic Syd feel.

Not half bad ,for a living room performance.
