More than ever our nation needs this prayer. We have been going the wrong direction for some time now and we need as a nation to turn back and realize our error.

For Christians who are saved and know Christ as their personal Saviour there is no need to ask for forgiveness for indeed we have already been forgiven all our trespasses and sins completely by the blood of Christ.

  • Thank you GraceAboundedMore for posting these wonderful verses of scripture. Some have suggested that because we are citizens of heaven and God is not dealing with nations today, we need not pray for our nation and leaders today yet these verses plainly show otherwise in my opinion. Our nation is moving in the wrong direction and has for some time now and we need to reverse that course for the sake of our children and their children.

  • Below is an article I read this morning on this prayer. If true it is still a very appropriate prayer for our nation.

  • It’s a powerful prayer. But it’s not Billy Graham’s prayer. More than a few folks have debunked it, including Snopes, Truth or Fiction, Trans World News, Bible Belt Blogger and more. It’s actually a 1996 prayer that pastor Joe Wright gave to open a session of the Kansas House of Representatives (and he based it on a 1995 prayer by Bob Russell).

  • He saw how it really is..thank you,

    Linda

    1 Timothy 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

    1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

    1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

    1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator....

  • @Heavenfirst I whisper with you dearest sister in Christ. Thank you for your comment and for watching. In Christ - John
