Gaming PC Advantages vs Disadvantages of Building your Own Rig

In this video I talk about the advantages and the of building a gaming PC versus buying one. This is a powerful gaming PC, that I'm building to play and record video games on. The Rig will have carefully selected second generation hardware to help lower costs. But this computer should be powerful enough to run 97% to 99% of the games in the market today, with the game settings turned all the way up to the highest level.

1mper1alGuardsMen- I think that I understand the point that youre trying to make, in this immature, rude and very poorly written comment.

 Ok, so first I would like to point out that I said that Crysis, running the CryEngine2 will utilize all four CPU cores. Because of my experience with running Crysis on both quad core and dual core CPUs. I stand by this statement.

As far as the Crysis being optimized for dual core or quad core CPUs, I disagree. It is not optimized four any multi-core CPU. The reason that I disagree is that it maxes out 1 core and splits the load amongst the remaining cores. If it split the load evenly on any one or combination of 2, 3, 4 or 8 cores, then I would happily agree with you. Never the less CryEngine2 and CryEngine3 are truly amazing gaming engines, in my humble opinion

This is from the CryEngine2 description-Multi-threading: Support for multithreaded, multicored, or multiprocessor CPU(s), which improves many aspects of the game such as AI and physics by speeding up CPU computations. One huge advantage to the CryEngine2 is that it will detect the number of threads the CPU(s) have and will then equally distribute code out across all of the threads.

I think building it is extremely fun it's like adult legos. Plus I tell friends and family that it saves a ton of money and tell them I can build them one. Not only is it fun and it saves them money, I most likely get paid to do it too =P
