I got this from an old school. It has ceramic brick walls and the boiler is about 9 1/2 inches long and 3 inches with. The flywheel is about 5 inches. I used almost a whole box of nesbit after filling it boiling water. I then used a propane torch to get enough heat for steam. What in earth do these big old steam engines use for fuel? A propane burner would be the best. Any information about this engine or the missing parts would be helpful. The piston oilier screw is missing and the screw I used loses steam. In the background is a Mamod minor to see the difference in size

  • They really are a lot of fun and they come from a time when things were still hand made. This one come from an old school and I think the ceramic walls were to keep people like myself from burning my fingers, but somehow I still manage.I have a few steam engines and every one is a little different but just as fun. This is a new hobby to me but I am already into it, I would have a whole room full of them if I could afford it!
