@UnFaithFull01 Dera UnFaithFull01, I say that there is no historic testimony 2 prove that Albanians descend from Illyrians.On the contrary,there are such testimonies (e.g. Stravon) that prove that a people named Albanians, & a country named Albania existed near Caucasus.This is what I say. The Illyrians were ancien-inded- people living in modern N.Albania up to Bosnia-Herz. &were relatives to the Greeks.The modern Albanians why call themselves so (an uknown name2them)& not..Illyrians?

Nice try. I have a question though: You refer to any one passing by the area except the Greeks! I think the archeologists u refer to, might have heard about a great number of Greek cities in most places of modern Albania...From Epidamnos (Durass), Apollonia (poliani), Argyrinoi (Girocastr)etc. Also, you present Greek mastepieces as..Roman or whatever but Greek! Not to forget the so called "illyrian worrior" who is...Greek!!Last,why u call urself Albanians and not...Illyrians? Nice try indeed...

And why the country went from Illyria to Albania is because the largest and most powerful Illyrian tribe were called the Alban. Through warfare, they absorbed the other Illyrian tribes and over the years, the name became Albania, in honor of the Alban tribe.
