  • One of the best movies ever made...and it's seldom mentioned. Natalie Wood is flawless. A true tragedy.

  • Those tears she could turn on! She was fabulous!

  • where's the continuation to this??? aaaaaarrrgh!!! i'd never seen it and now i'm DYING to see owen's reaction!!!

  • I love this film! Thank you for posting it.

  • I love this movie.

  • Is it me or is the cymeterry scene a bit out of place? I know it's meant to foreshadow, but it just never made sense to me?

  • I always liked this movie, too bad it ended that way!

  • I never liked this ending [at all] --- So real but yet so disappointin-- Miss Wood and Mr Redford are so believable in this scene --- The mother is a devil but that was her role .....This is why this movie is so memorable --- A love story gone irretrievably bad ----and we didn't expect it . We wanted so much for this couple ---What a great film --but heartbreaking!

  • Yes. Flawless. Except when she is looking at the Globe in Owens boarding house room. She says fur lined gloves Like Cloves; instead of fur lined clothes.

And when she slips off the sink after arguing with her mom. Classic.

  • Oh yes. What a tender, authentic artist Ms. Wood was. I have been obsessed with tthis movie since I saw it about age 11. My mother has always been one to suggest a film and say, "oh the actors are so good in that movie." Thank you Mommy. I love this movie. I learn so much from it.

  • What I mean is when the cat appears in the NOLA scene; it represents when Owen asked Alva at the boarding house, did she know about the cat who woke up and didn't know if he was man dreaming he was a cat dreaming he was man. Ahh such is life.
