@iaguayo1981 Some people call it "Popping the clutch", hope that helps...
-
@ZeroBoostBuick Well said.

A good stunter has gone down with their bike many times.... those who want to be good stunters or even good racers are going to have to swallow their pride and go down eventually. At the end there are those who have gone down and those who are going to go down... if you haven't gone down yet it's safe to assume you're not a good stunter nor a fast racer.

@stuntbums Right on all thats left to do is get out and do it then....fuck winter
-
Im gonna bust meself on me gixxer 1000 haha. Gonna be fun though.
-
I will give this a shot on my ninja 500. It sounds pretty easy to me. I may drop it like 2-3 times but thats okay lol. The bike is old and the body on it is just about busted anyway. So no lost there
-
@stuntbums weight it shouldn't be a problem right? as in small size individuals. im 55kg and 165 cm tall. skinny.
-
moral is if you can think on spot, make sure you'll get out after bike drops. all other falls were due to pure insanity, but if you want to learn to drift then you should first start off on a dirt bike, because it is safer and you do not have to worry as much about the dirt bike.

okay guys, Learn from my mistakes. I started on 1985 honda shadow 750 and I never ventured further than the grass dirt and mud with that bike. first I should have learned to ride on pave but if you wanna hear drift fails and tips read on. my first low side was when I was drifting in the yard, I leaned in and forgot not to crack throttle when driving normally, I kept the handle bar turned and this kept the bike from pinning me, then when stopped I cracked throttle again and the bike spun off me.

@sQuiDFigHTer1 till you regret your crushed femer or something worse, but i hear ya. i'd never do it on my new bike =/
-
I have an XT250 motard and I stripped off all the crap I didnt need.It just doesnt want to drift is this most likely because it only produces 25HP or is it cause Im being a pussy?
-
@340PD You let off the rear brake right as you dump the clutch :) Sorry for talking fast, we actually recorded this entire video a second time after we somehow recorded the first one entirely out of focus - I was pretty tired.
-
...Fuck off,i can't drift my Aprilia RS 125.
-
Let me get this: you lock up the rear brake.......you counter steer to go in the direction you want and break the rear tire loose.....you dump the clutch.....you are on the gas.....when do you UNLOCK the rear brake? You talk a bit on the fast side.

@sfstilter You don't want to feather, you want to dump it to make sure the tire breaks free. The rpms are relative to how leaned you are, how cold your tires are, how slick the surface is, etc. - finding the right spot is what you have to learn.
Happy Stunting!

When you say "dump the clutch" how high are the rpms and are you feathering it out or just letting go of the clutch?
-
@dumfart21 It is, it's easier to drift with more powerful bikes, but if you're in 1st,2nd gear, depending on your tire and grip, you should be able to make it, not as nice as 600cc but try to experiment and see what comes up
-
@ryomali For sure! It's important to stunt on a bike set up correctly to handle the abuse.
-
@aggressiveredberlin Yes, the rear seat has a hole for wheelie tricks (some people use it for endo's also). Putting your foot in the seat helps with bike control or something it's just for style.
Good tips man, I am on a 91 zx7 and the weight of my bike is what scares me. I got circle burnouts down but im controlling the power with my front brake i have a bored out 93rr motor in it so i know i got the power to get it loose I am worried that that much weight in a drift will just lowside me everytime...?

What's "dumping the clutch" mean?
iaguayo1981 1 month ago
@iaguayo1981 Releasing it quickly, with your finger, there can't be any lag.

what bike would you recommend for starters? should it be a low cc bike or high cc bike? kawasaki 6n ER? looking for ward for ur response! =D
Mojoshua 2 months ago
@Mojoshua 600's are great for all levels - the Er is a cool bike if you can get a cage/bar made up for it.
