In fact George earned from Fender in 1968 a special version of a Telecaster (A red one in jacaranda wood) and played with this guitar in Let it Be (if you watch the "Roof Concert" you will see this guitar) and Abbey Road (including the Something's solo). Since then, Telecasters became his prefered electric guitar and also was his "trade mark".
