This is a photo collage of Mozambique, the African country I lived in when I was a child. I have a lot of fond memories. But there are some sad ones too, from the civil war that took place from the 1960's until the mid 1970s. Because of that war, my family lost everything they worked hard for and we had to escape back to Portugal and start over with nothing. Mozambique is a beautiful country with lovely people and nature, and it has suffered many losses of life and gone through a lot of political turmoil, massacre, disease, natural disasters, and poverty. This little video is like a snapshot of my memories, good and bad. Many of the fotos are from the exact places we spent time at, such as the beach! "Petit Pays, je t'aime beaucoup"...
The song is "Petit Pays" by Neg Marrons & Cesaria Evora

  • I lived all over the place. Inhambane is a wonderful, gorgeous place. I used to go to the beach near there as well with my parents, my sisters, my nephew, and my brother in law. Mozambique is a fertile land, naturally rich, and very beautiful, and yes, the people are wonderful, and they have always been. Wars always destroy everything. I miss it very much. I am glad you love it. Keep enjoying. And thanks to all for enjoying this simple video. Peace to you all. Blessings.
