  • The 1986 had the red radiator cover/plates the 87 had white ones. Mike

  • yeah you are right.. i swiched those with a 86 moddel(for parts ) in my garage. I think red covers are much better looking. i still have the white covers.

also in 1986 the frames were Red. the bike in the movie has a white frame,a 1987 moddel

  • Hey great old bike. My first bike was a YZ250J (1982). Sold it to a mate, so get to ride it every so often. Still goes very well for its age. Not much slower than my current ride, a YZ250T (2005).

  • thanks man.

indeed they are not much slower. only now i have ridden it twice i start to notice that the technology of the suspention is 21 years old :p

if i take lots of bumps in a smal amout of time,i almost bounce off.(and i suck at riding a dirtbike..yet)

but anywayss...a new bike costs here about 10000 dollar. i've bought mine for 600..and i've got just as much fun as those dudes on the 2008 bikes

  • @supernicoo93

    Thanks mate,

you do NOT need anything to drive there.. just pay 13 euro's, put your gear on and drive off..

  • hi! if it is your first time, you are very good!!

for run in this circuit i need some licence? what i need?

    thank you!

    Nicolò

  • na my 86 got white rad cover plates

  • Does anyone know the gas to oil ratio for the 1987 yamaha yz250t?

  • yes they are a great machine i have an 1987 YZ250 that i tore down to the bare frame and restored everything. Besides the monoshock just recently getting weak and needing recharged, it has been quite a hill climbing machine that doesnt owe me a thing. Ride hard and rock on!
