Vietstan: Longest war in US history - endless?

Afghanistan is seeing escalating violence, with June being the bloodiest month for foreign troops since the start of the war. Senator John Kerry highlighted the fact that the military campaign surpassed Vietnam as the longest in U.S. history, during a meeting of the Foreign Relations Committee. And as congress assesses the grim statistics, the unpopular war is showing few signs of ending.

Google "haramein debunked" and I think the first link come up makes a pretty good case. If you claim this person is not part of some scientific community and therefore has no credibility, then which scientific community does haramein belong?

I don't fear something created all this. For all I know, some alien race seeded earth to begin with. I am looking at your argument logically and am telling you they don't hold water.

And the theory has these notable critics including Peter Woit, Lee Smolin, Philip Warren Anderson, Sheldon Glashow, Lawrence Krauss, and Carlo Rovelli. Does this automatically make the string theory false? You seems to mistaken popularity with truth. For a physics theory to be true, it has to be testable. Until then, it is not true.

Yes there were scientific discoveries that were deemed "crazy" by the masses when they were introduced. And there were also hoaxes loved by many.

@mengwise36 u could say that but to expect the worlds leading scienist's to put there faith into it and the goverments puting so much money 2 the research should tell u there is truth in it,i must ask why do u see the next leap in science far fetched they thought so many be4 were crazy yet they were proven right as time went along,i was reading our convo and u never answered any of my questions u just keep saying witten,haramein and the others r crazy and have been debunked yet i cant find it

Until it can be tested, the string theories or M-theory are mere mathematical exercises. To take it as truth and furthermore as proof of the existence of God takes the same naivety as those who believe Santa Clause delivers gifts to millions of households in one night.

Here is the bottom line as my Christian friend could never pass: To prove God exists you need God to exist which nullify the proof.

@mengwise36 yes exactly m thory predicts that it is a endless loop and every posiblity is accounted 4 with endless worlds and a new world is created with every outcome am not trying to be a smart ass but have u read about m thory (string thory) its all there but what u got from u is u want to no the mind of god which is a whole nother question and something that won't b answered with how this all came to b,cause it might never be answered or if it is it might be answered in philosophical circles

When you drag "intelligent design" out to answer my question, you opened the door. The problem with "intelligent design" is people can only seem to think 1 level removed from reality. Someone or something have to have designed this "wonderful" world of ours, hurricanes and earthquakes and tsunamis not withstanding. However, the same people rarely think if this someone or something is capable of such "wonders", he/she/it would also "require" a designer. The loop is infinite.
