I've always found these String Tribute performances to be a pretty frustrating listen, especially when they interpret heavier bands.
They don't really seem to understand to try to keep some of the dynamics of the original music that they are playing, which is odd considering how important it is in classical music . Another source of annoyance is the way they utilize legato. They often have an awful Country/Western flavour to them, almost like a slide guitar.

This song gave me goosebumps, just like the first time i listened to tool's version.

When my son was 4 we were in the car and I was playing one of my Tool CDs and he said, "Mom, Tool music is like listenign to Math." That's when I knew he was going to be brilliant, lol. He's 11 now and is a year ahead in school and in all the gifted classes, and still a huge Tool fan.
