This video was taken at the Texas Longhorns at Colorado Buffaloes game on Saturday, October 4th, 2008. My seat was about 13 rows behind the Longhorn's sideline at the 42 yard mark, where I was completely surrounded by CU fans (who, by the way, were very nice people). Early in the first quarter I decided to record this play, which was a 3rd down (and 6 I believe) on the Texas 35 yard line. What I captured ended up being a controversial lateral dump-off pass from Colt McCoy to Chris Ogbonnaya, who proceeded to run down the sideline for the first score of the game. In the video, some Colorado fans are expressing their opinion that McCoy had crossed the line of scrimmage. They are motioning back to the line of scrimmage where they feel the ball should be returned. Unfortunately for them, McCoy's entire body did not pass the line of scrimmage. His legs were still behind it as he lunged forward to make the toss to Ogbonnaya, thus making this a legit Longhorn TD. Texas went on to went on to win 38-14. The game would have been a little closer had the Buffs not missed three field goal attempts.
Great camera work...
