The inimitable Steve and Eydie duet in a medley of American standards including "I've Got Music," "Fascinatin Rhythm," "A Foggy Day in Londontown," "Somebody Loves Me," "How Long Has This Been Goin On?" and "They Can't Take That Away From Me," among other great Gershwin tunes. This clip is from a 15-minute medley taken from their television tribute to the work of Gershwin, 1975's Our Love Is Here To Stay.

  • You have made three particular Steve and Eydie fans really happy with this post. We've been devoted fans for a number of years and all of us have many of their CD's. Ellen, Dave and myself (Andrea) thank you for this fantastic Steve and Eydie medley.

  • Please post the rest of it! They do such a great job with Gershwin - this is their TV special about him if I'm not mistaken. I'm too young to have seen it originally but I believe this is it. They really are the best. Thanks for posting so many great clips from them. I don't know how to post on youtube, but if someone can explain it to me, I've got a great DVD of the Julie Andrews Hour where she and Eydie do a medley of songs with "rain" in the title/lyrics. They sound great together.

  • Besides being one of the great female vocalists of all time you're such a doll to post your videos. I saw you and your fabulous husband at 'Westbury Music Fair" Love from another former New Yorker.

  • Well actually, Steve is brilliant, witty... His vocal harmonies are unusual, complimentary to her strong, melodious presence! They're not just passable fill-ins..

  • Only one thing can be said about this medley "Wow"! Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence are incredible interpreters of song...and have the ability to make lyrics come to life. Thanks for the post...I'm truly appreciative of this video clip.

  • I MISS THE 70'S!!!! My Mom would have loved this. I know I do. Steve and Eydie are fantastic. Beautiful music and great talent! I wish I could turn on ANY TV station and find quality like this. Thanks so much for posting. God Bless!

  • What a warm wonderful voice Steve Lawrence had. It took a lot of guts to sing next to Eydie Gorme -- she was such a powerhouse of sound.

  • A match made in heaven. Imagine what the world would have missed if these two hadn't gotten together...and stayed together. What entertainers!

  • Wonderful couple and wonderful songs. Thnx 4 posting!

  • Sure wish they brought these two back on to television. They were the ultimate in entertainment. Talk about high quality and harmonizing voices....my whole family likes them.

  • Soooo wonderful! I have been blessed to see them in concert seven times, and look forward to seeing Steve's show when he performs closer. I took my daughter for her 17th Birthday, she still has goosebumps after Steve shook her hand. What wonderful voices, nothing today compares.

  • I love them too. Thank you for this video and all others, she is my superstar....
