How long did this trip take you?

The Hans Christian 38 is beautifully-finished internally.
It is similar to the Union 36, but the Union is not quite as well finished.

jejejeje If that is true you just did something very illegal,is like killing a eagle because the bird is below to a club and they are protected by federal laws ,,,,,,anyway i don't give a f if you kill the pigeon or if you had sex with the pigeon because is not one of my,,,,,,

What rout did you take from Jacksonville?
-
LOL, I read your sleepingwithoars web site 2 years ago. No wonder I thought the jovial mood of the host of the video sounded familiar.
BTW, who is the guy at the end of the video sitting at the bar, and what did he say, "Get out there and what?"
What happen to the pigeon,?is messenger pigeon and is below to some club member in the usa,i can tell by the ring or band type... she needs water and food, because the fly very long distance's....besides sailing, and harleys that is my other hobbie

@harleyoyi1 Well, the messenger pigeon club would be happy to know that their wayward bird was able to feed two crew members (there wasn't enough meat for all three of us...). After wringing the rat-bird's neck, we forced Michelle to pluck the feathers, remove the head / feet, and prepare the meal for us MEN. She baked it in Candide's oven, and seasoned it with lemon juice and thyme.

How come everyone seems cold and unfriendly?
I have cruised the BVI before, but that was years and years ago before the Cruiseships hit. Is normal for the Bahamas?

Hi, YenniBunny! Wow! I never meant to give the impression that folks in the islands were cold and unfriendly. Maybe it was just the way I caught them on video tape (the camera does change the way people behave). I'll have to look again at this video to see what you're talking about. But, in general, the people of the Bahamas are very friendly and quite warm. I'll re-watch the video and comment again in a week or so (heading to visit family in Philadelphia in the morning)...

Thanks for the reply Dotyrs! I loved your videos, I am working hard trying to get my hands on a HC33T. Your boat is wonderful! How does she handle in light air? From the looks of it, it appears that I mistook being good old friends as being grumpy. Hopefully in the future I can buy you a Painkiller out of regret. =) Thank you so much for sharing your cruising memories and have a safe Flight to Philly!

Hi, YenniBunny! Well, the FLIGHT to Philly went fine, thanks for your well-wishes. However, I caught the flu on Friday while there...which turned into pneumonia. I spent Sunday in the hospital! I'm back on the boat now, feeling MUCH better!
To be honest, Candide doesn't handle well in light air. She weighs over 30,000 pounds. She does best in 12-18 knots of wind. In 20-25 knots of wind, she's a LOT of fun to sail! She is, after all, a heavy blue-water boat. The more wind the better!
