@staywithtruth I wasn't really trying to make a deep doctrinal claim, I was really just defending Franklin Graham and the intent and sincerety of his message from the uploader of this video who is trying to accuse him of hypocritical or evil intentions.

@bret14jb Jesus said "unless YOUR righteousness exceeds... (Matthew 5:20). How can that be that we have our own righteousness because Paul teaches that the righteousness of Christ is imparted to us. Paul is a liar. Christ's righteousness makes him the sacrificial lamb without blemish. Christ died for our sins and he asks that we turn from sin to live righteously. We must live right and good works are NOT filthy rags. Turn from evil and God will accept you.

@bret Matthias the 12th apostle. Paul/Saul of Tarsus the 13th apostle teachings from hell, contrary to the teachings of Jesus. In John 20:22 it says Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit on his then 11 disciples. In Acts 2:3-4 it says the apostles received the Holy Spirit via tongues of fire. So anyone who says there's no conflicts in the Bible is wrong.  Council of Trent approved the writings to be included under one cover titled "Bible". All of Asia rejected Paul as stated in Timothy.

@jimcamilos Jesus warned fear God who is able to destroy body and soul in hell. Jesus said "unless your righteousness exceeds that of the Pharisees and Sadducees, you shall not enter heaven. Jesus says don't be a hypocrite. There will be people in heaven who broke some of God's least commandments and taught others likewise. Teach and do. Teach and do contrary to what you teach, hypocrisy. Jesus hates hypocrisy.

That quote by Franklin Graham was a beautiful analogy of the Christian message. The Bible teaches that "good deeds are as filthy rags", and his statement backward just reaffirmed perfectly the message that we are in need of Christ.

All of these "reverse messages" are not heard by us, since they are spoke in forward English. Therefore, there is nothing "subliminal" in them - who reads words backwards? I am Christian, but I am not a fan of these big tv evangelists who scam everybody out of money because they cheat and lie about using "God's power and wisdom"...when in reality, they live in million dollar homes, drive fancy cars and are more worldly than the congregation they preach to. They'll get what they deserve.
