  • He did not have 1 dunk in the NBA .

  • @DivineSteel You're partially right. I wouldn't go as far as to say they have solid careers in Europe or China, they just get treated (positively that is) different in Europe. A washed up NBA player that can't get a deal from any team in the NBA get's treated as a king when he goes to Europe.

Even European's them self chose to return pretty quickly. Great example are the spanish players, almost everyone of them wish to return to Spain after a season or two, mostly because they miss it, I guess.

    1) The talent gap is narrowing. I think this is great for the international game. However, whereas ten years ago the Euroleagues were a joke, now the best Euroleague teams can compete with the NBA's also rans.

    2) Even though the Euro is worth more, the salaries are lower. Euroleague avg is below 1 mil, nba average is about 4.5 mil.

    3) Players who get released in the nba go to europe and have solid careers. Euro standouts like Spanoulis come to the NBA and shoot 31.9%

  • @DivineSteel

You know what; I would have agreed with you 10 years ago on that one, but it has changed. The reason for that is the value of the US dollar. A lot of European players chose to stay in Europe, though they get NBA offers. We just never hear about them. In Europe they get paid in euros (which is worth about 20% more than the US dollar) and they have a fanbase that are familiar with them. While in NBA they might get less and have to start all over again to make them self a name.

  • @doubleglock1992 thanks for the offer, but I'm not inclined to until you offer something at least a bit more intellectual.

It's a nice dunk and all, but has he been able to replicate it in the NBA? He's a talented player and is finally starting to adjust, but that's the kind of play that you can only make with a WIDE OPEN fast break opportunity, and he hasn't gotten any at the NBA level. Ironically, I wasn't even bashing him, it was just a bit of healthy skepticism which I think was justified

  • @TheBoyIllz

Maybe my initial statement was a bit harsh, because the Euro leagues aren't bad. However, they don't have the depth of quality players that the NBA has. If they did, then why do the NBA draft washouts go to Europe, while many of the best Euroleague players (Bargnani, Anthony Parker, Calderon, Ginobili, Belinelli, etc) make the move to the NBA? The overall standards are higher, and it's a testament to Marco's skill that he's starting for a contending team, but he's not as dominant.

  • @DivineSteel

That's just ignorant. Ask anyone who has played both in the NBA and Europe, they all can testify that Europe is way more harder.

  • okkio ragazzi il beli sta tornando...

  • @DivineSteel shut the fuck up sucka!!
