  • However, let's see what happens FIVE YEARS after they're through.

  • @HyperHowie Five years after they are through with what?

  • i always said that weight problems are not a state of the body, but a state of the mind. he stole my idea. lol!

my friend says i am a genius at discovering things that are already discovered.

  • Genius is the gift of becoming conscious of what exists in creation. Everything anyone knows existed before we were born, and if we are lucky, it is revealed to us, as it was to you.

  • why should 5 years be any different than 5 days. A state of mind is a state of mind and thats what the Anderson Method is about. It is not a diet but a way of life.

  • Thank you for your support and generous spirit. It is not unusual to discover that even a small weight problem can be very hard to solve. Since weight is a behavioral problem instead of a physical (# of pounds) problem, sometimes people of a relatively normal weight have to do as much as an obese person to solve the problem!

  • She is welcome to my support, anyone who has lost that amount of weight, whichever way they did it, has my admiration. Her diet may not be for everyone but she's found something she can stick with and that's got to be better than being obese.

I'm not obese, but I do need to lose a stone and even that is very hard. I'll certainly have a look on Facebook. Thanks for posting the video.

  • Our body's nutrient needs are not on a 24 hour or 7 day clock. If you eat 800 calories one day and 1200 the next, that is, by defintion, not a VLC diet. Consider too, that we approach and approximate goals rather than perform perfectly. Certainly, there are less nutrients in 1000 calories than in more, but one should consult with an RD to insure good nutrition while losing weight. To avoid a loss of nutrients today that are essential long term, but stay overweight, is not healthy or acceptable.

  • The Anderson Method advocates self control, not diets. Any method that controls eating to reduce energy consumption must reduce the calories eaten, whether or not one is aware of it. It is better to be aware. If you are using the word diet to describe what a person eats, then everyone is always on a diet, be it a weight loss diet or a weight gain diet. Rather than think we are normally out of control or on a diet, it is better to seek being in control all the time, instead of being "on a diet."
