What an outright lie! I've been into Elvin since 1969, and never heard of "smoke dude" before I just visited this webbie. Sorry, don't mean to be condescending, but Elvin's been one of my Main Men for almost 40 years, an' I don' kno' dat otha cat.

I can assure you, after spending quite a bit of time with these gentlemen during the shoot, that they are the best of friends. We researched everything meticulously, and from Elvin's own mouth he admits Smokey showed him the ropes of the blues lifestyle. A little surfing around the net and you'll find many places where the story is verified. A big reason this show came about was because Elvin wanted to pay tribute to Smokey and thank him for helping him get started.
