JOE TEX - SKINNY LEGS

Yet another super rare soul performance. This was from a promotional Reel to Reel BETA tape I found in a television station I worked at in the mid 1990's. It was only marked "For Local Affiliates - From your Friends at the Club Vegas" - My assumption is that these promotional videos were made by a music production facility to promote the artists on locally-produced music shows. I really have no idea as to the true origin or specific year!

Saw him perform at the New York Apollo theater in the 60's. It was the year of the Hot Pants, he asked women who had skinny legs to come up on the stage and show their skinny legs. It was funny as all hell, but it was all in fun.

JOe Tex die of a heart attack he live in baton rouge,louisiana on texas st. in ...south baton rouge joe tex was the very first concerts i went 2 it was @ valley park jr. high school in 1970 i was 10 years old the second 1 concert i went 2 was the godfather of soul...james brown in 1972 @ the independence hall i don't know where in the hell some1 will come on here and say that joe tex drowned in a pond...Thanks for the upload...5*****

I am currently downloading the video's just in case something happens to this channel. His computer with almost everything on it crashed a week after I hooked it back up.
