Former chairman of the now defunct Electoral Commission of Kenya Samuel Kivuitu says he has no regrets over how he conducted the election. Kivuitu says the disputed results that plunged the country into chaos, were never challenged in court and so they stand as valid. Kivuitu who is currently on treatment for throat cancer says he would do that election, the exact same way, given a second chance.

This man still thinks his job was to 'announce' flawed results. He and the faux president need a wake up call: Yes, we can forgive, but lest we forget, four years ago today, they conspired against the Republic (read People) of Kenya.

I think he's actually starting to believe the words coming out of his mouth! One thing I'll agree with him on though is the fact that Ruto and his buddies arranged to kill whether ODM won or not. I wonder what would have happened if ODM actually won that election. All the same, I wish the old man well, even though what he did was wrong.

I still feel Kivuitu's hands carry the blood of over 1000 Kenyans who were killed because of the part he played in the conspiracy of Returning Emilio to state house. Trust you me Kivuitu your life will never ever be the same! I am certain each time you go to bed your night is characterized by un-told nightmares!! Jesus! you have the guts to say you have no regrets?

An arrogant lawyer. He is still in denial and i see weakness to an old fart if he can not be bold enough and the truth,''SAY AM SORRY''.He looks like a man who is having a bigger fight withing himself than from the PEV victims.Being in charge means taking control and been responsible for whatever happens.Next time you address the press please don't tie your shit with 92,97 or isiolo skirmishes to justify your failures. We need an apology and God will deal with those who pushed into that situation.

I wish the interview was longer and more detailed . Illness withstanding, its good to document his reflection on the election. This is the kinda stuff Kenya's future generations will revisit when reading about the PEV based on the failures of Kivuitu/ the ECK, Kibaki and Odinga. #History of Kenya 201: Independence to the Second Constitution :)
