I encourage you to have patience with non-Muslims and their ignorant questions. Young people like you (who do not have foreign accents and who make hijab look trendy) are the people who can change the way non-Muslim Americans view Muslims. It may be tedious, but try to address their questions with patience. It's better that they ask than that they remain silent and continue in ignorance.

Very entertaining AND you make a lot of good points. In response to signalement, I did not hear this as teenage rebellion, but as a dignified and humorous way of dealing with some frustrating situations. And you're right, your decision re how to dress is between you and Allah.

To me, this appears to be much more about teenage rebellious giving every1 a finger regardless of the intention of the world. I hope you know how much your finger is actually worth during ramadan.
