El nombre correcto es «Isla de la Mona», que en su origen era, más apropiadamente, «Isla del Amona», en referencia al cacique taíno que regía esta patria niña hacia principios del siglo XVI. Lean el libro Arqueología de la Isla de la Mona que publiqué en 2003. ¡La presentación les quedó tremenda! Saludos, Ovidio Dávila

Actually mijo, coconut palms come from the Pacific, like Panas, they were brought over here by the the Spanish and British explorers. When Columbus came here there was just uva de playa y mangle boton on the coasts.  :)
