***EXPLICIT LYRICS***
If 4 letter words starting with F and C offend, please don't watch this video.

This is aimed at the blatant racism within parts of Australian society. Specifically, it's aimed at an email I've recieved quite a few times, which I put in print on here then respond to.
These racists label their views as 'Aussie Pride' or 'Aussie Patriotism', when really, the people calling it this know bugger all about what our country stands for.
They still believe the 'white australia' policy of the early 20th century is valid today, and think that everyone who comes to this country must act exactly like them.
To wear different clothes, speak another language, or pray to a different god is unnacceptable. It also brings attention to the Cronulla riots in late '05, where two sides fought, without actually fighting each other. It was a low point in Australian history, a moment I compare to 'Kristallnacht'.
Both of the tracks played over this video are by 'The Herd'.
The first one is 'I was only 19', a cover of 'A walk in the light green' by Redgum. The song is about young australian soldeirs conscripted into the vietnam war. Another low point in Australian history (we have a few).
The second song is called '77%', referring to the 77% of Australians that think that deterring illegal immigrants by force is perfectly okay. As the song says, if that is true, then 77% of Australians are racist. Personally, I think that most of that 77% are just ill informed.
Anyway, enjoy, and feel free to comment

You fall short of comming up with a straight short answer.

there is racism everywhere. everybody knows that, and if you got offended that's because deep within you, an answer popped up but maybe you are too comforted by not saying it out loud.

    let me rephrase

"Where resides the greatness of australia as a country, as a culture, as a group of people bound by a nomenclature based on the place they inhabit? and enumerate such qualities if more than one applies" (hiphop does not count)

  • @briandecree i understand, and i agree, if ppl move to somewhere, then that ppl should learn the language and adapt tghemselvs to the country rules and maners, as i said i speak english fluently, im well studdied and prepared, i love australian culture, as for south america, there are many kidnaps, narcotraficant problems, still havin fights aobut marxism, salary is so low, ppl is uneducated, the longevity is low as well

  • @MrAlban003

American Indians are the true Americans... Black Africans are the real South Africans... Aztecs are the real South Americans... Babalonians are the real Israelis, Iraqis and Iranians... monkeys are the real humans Blah Blah Blah....

  • @XXTheCutiePieXX

It's not really racists, more just idiots... you get that everywhere!

The vast majority of Australians are not racist at all. The biggest problem we have is integration, because many people from poorer countries come here just wanting more money and they don't learn english or respect our land and values.

I want to go to SA because Australia can be very boring and sterile... very american!

I like the jungle, and passionate people, the language, and the girls lol =)

  • White Australians are themselves the progeny of European immigrants, and it's the indigenous Aborigines who are the true Australians.

  • @briandecree thankies, well i woldnt have a problem speaking english, speak it fiently or at least i think so lol, but i am bit worried about the racist situation.

And why do you want to move to south america? o,0 i`d suggest you to think twice, read and watch news aout south america, the situation is not going good there

  • @XXTheCutiePieXX

You probably won't see me here though, I want to move to South America lol

  • @XXTheCutiePieXX

?Buenas Dias Senorita, como Estas? lol don't have the right keys...

You would love it here! We are very multi-cultural and there are many people speaking espanol y castellano here, many people in my city speak spanish and come to study and live in Brisbane.

If you ask me the worst thing about Australia is how american it is becoming!! People sueing eachother a lot now and so many rules!!!

But the land itself is still huge, wild and beautiful!

    Hasta Luego!

  • @briandecree racism is in everywhere and in every race, ont only whites

  • @briandecree thats so true, and now this is sad for me lol cause i want to move to australia, but im mexican..... im white skin and such but still lol
