Bring it on! This hollering and mating dance extravaganza tops the one from the Siamang monkeys we've seen at the Greenville Zoo.

The display is perfect for the dueling show: open space unobstructed by cages, all around access, a state of the art exhibit equipped with ropes, boulders, trees and even a waterfall.

The monkeys respond beautifully showing off their unique singing and acrobatic skills.

  • You may be right...that's what the zoo said.

Either way they're so much fun to watch!

  • Thanks this really helped. I'm doing this on a science project on endangered species and I need to know about its mating. So thanks.

  • No problem!

  • That's a siamang.

  • Yes, these are Siamangs, a large gibbon, not a howler monkey at all. Howler monkeys do some sort of a dull roar noise, not a high pitched call like these guys

  • you're absolutely right: there are siamangs which are lesser apes and howler monkeys which are New World monkeys. Two completely different primates

  • Siamangs are lesser apes not monkeys
