ive been playing this a lot recently, but i have one major issue with it.

please tell me as to why a spearman can defeat an elite rifleman? what are the other factors that come into play in battle other than just your attacking and defensive stats?

There aren't any! That's the biggest problem with the game. I wouldn't know how to fix it either...

yeah great game but how do you get your people to other islands to colonize

You have to wait until you get better boats (usually Galleon) or the Great Lighthouse, then you can travel across sea and ocean squares to other islands. Sometimes you can take chances with crappier boats and you'll make it, though.

Have you ever played XCOM: Enemy Unknown/UFO Defense? That and Civ 3 are close for the best pc games in my book. I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates brilliant game play.

You may have prolly sussed this out by now, but I normally have my first worker on permanent road construction to connect all my cities.

And also, you should let your units rest if they take damage! :D

You should try Civilization Revolution its a lot better (although a little kiddish) you would probably like it

I usually just skip to the future age, pick americans(most modren sp unit), choose democracy(huge bonuses), and own everybody with nuclear war and inprovement destruction with f 18s. My people dpnt even get mad, this or diplomatic victory. I dont like spaceship victory cause they nerfed the extended aliens mode where you colonize alpha cauntari

@Rowanffe Battles are based on the odds ex tank attack 16 vs spearman defense 2 therefore your odds to winning are 16:2 while spearman 1:12 eventhough these are unfavorable odds perhapse your tank was the unlucky 12th
