I think some people confuse sleep paralysis with night terrors. With sleep paralysis, REM has ended, and you are awake but cannot move. Hallucinations may follow. Night terrors happen before REM, and most oftenly, they aren't remembered...
@MaLadySakurra i was put in a psych ward for 9 days. for reasons not like this but i met someone there thats room was right next to mine and he had night terrors. and things will happen.. like this. u say stuff you dont mean but you dont remember it. if i were you id talk to a dr about it. before it gets worse..
I'm not sure these r night terrors, but it's the second time in 2 weeks that it's happened that I can recall. I wasn't even asleep yet! My son and husband then told me that I say horrible things to them in my sleep like "I hate them and Get out" to name a few. I would NEVER say those things to them. What the hell's goin on?
I finally got a noise out to alert him something was wrong. It took everything I had to call out, but since he wasn't asleep yet (that's how fast it happened), he got up n turned on the light to see me paralyzed, eyes wide open n not responding to him. He starting freakin and said he was calling an ambulance. at first I said ok, then as I calmed I told him to get his dad. I quickly calmed, but still shaken I took a sedative and went to sleep. My son later told me I did this like 3 x's a week!
I'm not sure if I'm having night terrors, but last night, we just turned the lights off to go to sleep. I wasn't even asleep yet, but it started immediately with like REM eye movement, but I was awake. My heart started pounding and suddenly I was so scared I was paralyzed, but at the same time it felt like a seizure and all I wanted to do was alert my son (we were sleeping in the living room. Me in a recliner chair n him on the sofa) I couldn't scream or hit his pillow to wake him.
@MaLadySakurra
maybe it is really what you would say to them if you were not holding back...
