She got the name Marilyn Monroe early in the 40´s but she didnt change it officially until 1956

She didn't change her name in 1946. She found her stage name, but didnt change it until the late 50s.

I'm pretty sure though that her weight and dress size fluctuated a lot throughout her career. She was definitely not itsy bitsy or big at any time.

I believe, she was a modern day size 7/8. A past size 12. Sizes have changed in recent years, but that is just the word on the street.
