@yagudicandelo, She is still very beautiful even today, I recently went home to Trinidad and saw her, on the tele, and its amazing how beautiful she still is, and its all based on those fantastic DNA, not plastic surgery or such things, she is a natural beauty. Giselle La Ronde, Miss world 1986 from Trinidad, have also retained her beauty ,She as on the Rachel Maddow show on MSNBC recently and still as lovely as ever.

I met Margaret Gardiner in La Mirada, CA when she was a special guest that year at the Miss California USA Pageant. Had my photo taken with her. Charming and absolutely beautiful. Real tall too!

The most beautiful is the american Judi Anderson of Hawaii, who was crowned by outgoing titleholder Kimberly Tomes of Texas. Anderson was the third woman from Hawaii to win the Miss USA title, and went on to place as 1st runner-up to Margaret Gardiner of South Africa at Miss Universe 1978.
