I love it how you guys bag on an automatic, apparently you've never realised that in the 1/4 mile...automatic transmissions are king and all the top guys use auto-trans, so you clearly missed the point as to why he built this mustang up in the first place, with the main point being for it to be used on the track and be competitive and consistent in its lap times, something you can't achieve with a manual, not to mention the auto version is faster then the manual version stock vs stock ;)

"this is our super speed labs super charged super mustang" so let me get this straight: automatic 4.6 liter engine car weighs 3800 lbs 500 hp at the wheels? so 580 at the crank with no forged internals? What's it good for, 3 or 4 quarter mile passes? even if thats true, high tens is doubtful imho this is why im a vette guy now, got tired of them flying by 6.2 liter engine 3180 lbs as much horsepower as you want: 550 naturally asp 730 850 blown/cam 1100HP with methanol injection

@xJTF2x Any issues with blown motors usually lie in the tune. The tuners lean out the car to get more power, when it gets 90 degrees out and you're running hard - boom. Ford sells the whipple rated at 550 crank HP. I've not yet seen one stock motor blown with the Ford tune. It may not make as much power, but it is safe and runs hard enough to run low 11s, maybe high 10s in the 1/4.
