@redore33 I'm sure I'd like to hear June C.'s version, as she's one of my favorites, but as to her being the only person that sings it the right way? I dunno, Martha T's version sounds pretty right to me. :)

Actually Peanuts Hucko was married to Louis Tobin, not Martha Tilton. Just correcting one of the comments.

Thx, bbcisrubbish, for pointing out where this lovely originates... in the middle of a midnight ramble with a bunch of choristers from a dude ranch... makes no sense but who watches A&C for its logic?

I got to hear her perform live not too long before she passed away. Martha was appearing with her husband, ace clarinetist, Peanuts Hucko, who was leading the Benny Goodman Orchestra in 1989. I have to say, she sang as beautifully as ever. This song is actually from an Abbott & Costello picture--I kid you not! Thanks for posting this!

Thank you so much for your comment! I appreciate all the info! She was a wonderful singer! And you are right that it is from an Abbot and Costello movie!

@michaeljayklein . This is a really nice song sung excellently by Martha. I like the latin interpretation.
Fortunately the excerpt from the Abbott & Costello film is on youtube.
Try "Dick Foran, I'll remember April". I hope you enjoy that version as much as I did Martha's one.

I did see the video. Thank you so much for pointing it out to me. I enjoyed his perfomance very much. I don't think I ever saw that particular film, although I'm a big Abbott and Costello fan. Dick Foran had a really nice voice--sort a cross between Nelson Eddy and Vaughn Monroe, I think--with a little touch of Dennis Morgan thrown in!

My pleasure, sslade100. I just wish I recorded it properly. I think I had it on too loud. But Martha Tilton sings so well and it's such a great song that it would be very hard to louse it up too badly!
