The original cottage, built in 1955, was totally transformed and renovated in 2006 when the new addition and garage were added. The charm of detailed woodwork, wood beamed ceilings, bead board walls, and a trendy granite and stainless kitchen with Vilking cook-top, add style and comfort. The floor plan is open with all rooms looking out toward the ocean. The first floor has a living room with wood burning fireplace, cathedral ceiling and oak floors. It opens to the family room which abuts the outdoor patios, with floor- to- ceiling sliding doors, overlooking the back yard and the ocean beyond. A gas fireplace gives warmth in the winter, and tile flooring allows for easy clean-ups from sandy feet. The kitchen has a formal eating area, adjacent to the family and living rooms, as well as counter seating at the granite island. Double wall ovens, a microwave and wine cooler help to make dinner effortless, while views of the water give plenty of stimulation and entertainment. Upstairs, up the wooded staircase, are 3 guest bedrooms, a long hallway, a full bath, and a separate master suite with private bath. All but one bedroom have dramatic water views. The 4th bedroom, formerly an attic, is perfect for children and resembles the interior of a boat. The master suite is generous in size with windows over-looking the sea and features a master bath with double sinks, granite countertop, separate shower and soaking tub.
